Find Animation Opportunities is Emil Kowalski's skill for spotting missing motion. The agent searches a codebase or interface for places that don't animate but should, rejects everything that shouldn't, and proposes each animation with exact values. It is read-only: it suggests, it does not implement. It answers "what could be animated here?"; for fixing animations that already exist, use Review Animations or Improve Animations.

How to install Find Animation Opportunities
Claude Code
For Claude Code in the terminal, the desktop app or your editor.
With the skills CLI · recommended
- Run this in your terminal. It installs the skill for every project; leave out -g to install it for the current project only.
By hand
- Copy the skill's folder into your skills folder, keeping its name:
- For one project only, use .claude/skills/ inside the project instead.
Using it: Claude loads the skill on its own when your request matches what it does. To call it directly, start your message with /find-animation-opportunities.

Claude app
For claude.ai and the Claude desktop app, on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans.
- Turn on code execution: Settings → Capabilities → “Code execution and file creation”. On Team and Enterprise an owner enables skills for the organization first.
- Download the repository as a ZIP from GitHub (Code → Download ZIP) and unzip it.
- Take out the “skills/find-animation-opportunities” folder and zip that folder on its own. The folder name must stay “find-animation-opportunities”.
- In Claude, open Customize → Skills, click +, choose “Create skill”, then “Upload a skill”, and pick the ZIP.
Using it: Claude uses the skill automatically when it is relevant. You can also ask for it by name, for example: “Use the Find Animation Opportunities skill to…”.

Other AI tools
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, OpenCode and other agents that read the Agent Skills format - plus any chat model.
Coding agents · recommended
- Run this in your terminal. The CLI finds the agents you have installed and asks which ones to add the skill to.
Any chat model
- A model with no skill support can still follow one. Open the skill's SKILL.md, copy everything below the --- block at the top, and paste it into the model's custom instructions or at the start of your chat.
Using it: In an agent, the skill loads when your request matches it. In a chat, it applies to the conversation you pasted it into.

Read the skill before you install it: its SKILL.md on GitHub. A skill is instructions your agent follows, so treat a third-party one like code you are about to run.
Prompts to try
